Dear WISE Friends!
In the year of our 10th anniversary celebration, we have many wonderful news:
A new independent chamber ensemble has emerged, walking successfully through the international music world!
IWA TRIO:
- Ivana Nikolic – Oboe
- Weronika Izabella Strugala – Violoncello
- Andrea Nikolic – Violin
Their debut with new exciting arrangements for oboe trio by Haydn, Schubert, Rachmaninov, Morricone, among other works was in February at the marvelous Austrian Parliament:
A studio recording of the beloved Oboe Trio by Grazina Bacewicz followed, just before embarking on a small German Tour.
Summer brings many concerts and individual successes for the trio as they prepare for a busy Fall season at diverse international festivals and European concert seasons starting mid-October.
All this and more (complete Haydn London Trios, Beethoven Trio, and new pieces written for the IWAs…) are coming soon, both in live and studio versions! As October retakes them to Germany and the Balkans, they will be playing at the Opening Concert of this year’s WISE Rebel! CRO-ArT Festival… And then the fun begins!
Their individual, as well as ensemble success is taking them all around the world in the months to follow. Being also academically very active: Ivana got a position at the University in Koblenz, Weronika successfully defended her PhD thesis, whereas Andrea is curating three international festivals, tours and our season, and completing a soloist degree in Viola!
